Keir Mcallister and Niall Browne both Comedy Club regulars at the Stand hit the big time with their first gig in Stow!
Keir McCallister has gigged all over Scotland and can be seen gigging for The Stand, HaHa Comedy and The Last Laugh Comedy Clubs. Keir and Paul were recently asked to write a stand-up script for Kate Lawler for a reality TV programme next year. He and Paul have a show in Glasgow Festival 2006 as well as featuring in “Four Men and a Little Lady.â€

Niall Browne has been making people laugh for ages but finally got up on a stage in November 2004. After his first faltering steps at The Stand’s Red Raw nights he started performing around Scotland.
He has entertained bewildered crowds from Inverness to Dumfries; though he freely admits that he gets a bit homesick when he strays too far from the urban familiarity of the central belt. He finds farm animals and agricultural machinery particularly intimidating.
